We received a most beautiful springtime card in the mail yesterday. It brightened up our day considerably. I hope warm weather comes soon. Helena can’t get out in the yard to work, so she stays in the living room ordering flower bulbs. She has ordered from four catalogs so far and one more catalog arrived yesterday. I see there are 23 pages with items circled.
Two things are going to come of this if the weather doesn’t change soon — we are going to go bankrupt and our yard is going to look like Huntington Botanical Gardens, which is what she’d really like. I’ve decided to forget growing vegetables this summer — I won’t have time to tend to them anyway because I’ll be weeding dahlias and lilies all summer.
