Teaching thinking is not a curriculum.

People who can’t or don’t read and who spend their free time watching TV and movies, playing video and computer games, and otherwise spend their lives seeking entertainment will not be able to think critically.

Jane Healy’s two books Endangered Minds: Why Children Don’t Think And What We Can Do About It and Failure to Connect: How Computers Affect Our Children’s Minds–For Better and Worse give documentation of this.

Teaching thinking is not a curriculum, it is a way of life.

If one grew up watching t.v., movies etc…as an adult can they learn to think critically or is the damage done. Can you re-train your brain?
