Remember what I said before about how raising kids may require more from you, Mother, than you are initially willing to give.

    This video made our day!

Day 4: Laurie’s Philosopy “You must go at skiiing without fear in your heart and believe that you can do it”

    Later…

Laurie’s son “You can do this”

    Laurie “No I can’t, I know that I can’t”

    Wow…too funny!

Laurie I am totally impressed! Go out there and conquer your fears…woo hoo!

I’ve never been skiing before but Ryan assures me that I would love it. 🙂 Guess I’ll have just have to do it then! Thanks for the video. 🙂

Awesome endeavor! I shared your frustration as I learned to ski with friends who were much better than I. Sadly, they got impatient with me on the beginner slopes and left for more thrills. I ended up sitting at the lodge all day watching everyone.
What a blessing to have your family right their by your side to encourage!!!
Now that I live in Florida, we don’t ski much.

Question for the boys: What made/model of digital camcorder do you have? Our family is shopping for one and are just overwhelmed with all the choices. Your recommedation would be appreciated. I know you all research things!

    Thanks a bunch!

Great video! Just want to share an adventure we had with your sons in Colorado this summer…our family got to go rock climbing with your sons. Your sons tried to ‘rope’ me into climbing, but, as a mom, I felt a lot safer with my feet on the ground. I did try my hand at belaying once and that was fun. It is hard to see your children hanging off the side of a cliff though!

I did ask your boys if they ever ‘made’ their mother rock climb with them 🙂 So it was wonderful to see you facing your fears in the video and you survived! Thank you for this inspirational video!

Please say hello to Nathan & Hans. It was such a pleasure getting to meet them. They are outstanding young men.

HA! Thanks for sharing. I can feel your pain. It seems pretty fortunate, however, to go be able to go where there aren’t a hundred people around you to worry about. I have been twice (too many) to Gatlinburg and a 12yo boy wiped me out from behind. My husband also played a mean trick on me to get me on the ski lift with 2 of my kids. I highly recommend Bach’s Rescue Remedy Spray for stressful situations like that. LOL (Lots of it.)

I think you did a fantastic job. It’s just starting to get cold here again and fortunately I am pregnant and will be able to avoid it this year!

Great Video! Once I turned 40, my hands stay cold on the ski slopes.

I’ve wanted to learn to snowboard, but still haven’t braved it. Skiing is comfortable.

Laurie, you did a great job! I wonder what your kids will ask you to learn next 🙂
