Dill — this is for the Monarch caterpillars.

Purple coneflower (Echinacea) — I also have coneflowers in white, red, and green.

My favorite vegetable to grow — lettuce. Unfortunately, “THEY” won’t eat my lettuce. “THEY” prefer packaged store-bought lettuce — the kind all cut up and brown.

Asparagus — Ava and Helena cook this with beef stock and it’s delicious.

Your gardens are beautiful and they are very inspiring!

I thought the Monarch caterpillar lived on milkweed?

Your gardens look great! Part of me wishes I still had a garden, but it was so much work with so little to show for it in the end. (We found out that a gravel road used to cut across our back yard right where we had our garden!)

    Jessica,
You’re right! Dill attracts the swallowtails — which are similar in appearance to the monarchs. Laurie

I think that I would like the lettuce, I just wouldn’t like the asparagus. 😛

    Hi Laurie,

Sounds like you need Hans to pick a bunch of stuff from the garden and have a salad party!!! I’ll bring the dressing.

    Love in Christ,
    Christine
