Don Potter and Intensive Phonics

by | Intensive Phonics | 0 comments

There are four new documents on the Don Potter web site.

1. Analysis of the 1979 Open Court Headway Program. This is the first part of a comparative study of the old and the new Open Court programs that I am preparing. They are vastly different.

2. No-Frills, easy to read edition of Webster’s 1824 American Spelling Book. This is a work in progress. I am also preparing mp3 audio files to help people recover the “lost technology” of teaching Webster’s methods.

3. Natural Phonics Primer Phonograms. These can be used with my Natural Phonics Primer which I use with first graders.

4. Caroline Yale’s 1946 Formation and Development of English Speech Sounds.
