    It appears to me that your turnips have gone to seed, but it’s been so long since I’ve seen them it up close that I may have the variety of greens wrong.

    Is it spinach that is in the bowls?
    Unfortunately I don’t now much about gardening so I can’t tell what’s growing. 😛

    Hello Laurie:

    I remember that you mentioned that when the spinach develop those “flowers” we can ‎not eat them, but why? I did not found an explanation‎.

    That’s right. Once spinach goes to seed (makes flowers) then you can’t eat it any more. It doesn’t taste good. Everybody here (except me) is happy when the spinach goes to seed. : )

    They don’t even like it fresh in salads? Or chopped up in baked pasta or pizza? That just makes me sad.
