It appears to me that your turnips have gone to seed, but it’s been so long since I’ve seen them it up close that I may have the variety of greens wrong.

That’s right. Once spinach goes to seed (makes flowers) then you can’t eat it any more. It doesn’t taste good. Everybody here (except me) is happy when the spinach goes to seed. : )

No, it’s not turnips.
Just a guess….are they brussels sprouts?
Is it spinach that is in the bowls?
Unfortunately I don’t now much about gardening so I can’t tell what’s growing. 😛
Yes, it’s spinach in the bowls, but what is the significance of the first picture?
I can understand why nobody likes spinach! 😛
Hello Laurie:
I remember that you mentioned that when the spinach develop those “flowers” we can not eat them, but why? I did not found an explanation.

I get it now. (Learned something today about gardening!! Thanks. 😀 )
Never would have guessed it… 😀
I’ll replant it if you like.
They don’t even like it fresh in salads? Or chopped up in baked pasta or pizza? That just makes me sad.
