Dear Mrs. Bluedorn,

Here is a picture of a Brown Thrasher. I found her at a pond behind our property. I was taking pictures of her babies that I found on the pond bank buried in thorns. You can tell she is not happy with me.

Several places say the Brown Thrasher and Brown Thrush are the same bird, but a couple of places say there is a difference. A Brown Thrasher has a longer tail and is slimmer.

I have taken pictures of 19 different species of birds in my backyard. My book is 28 pages of mostly birds, a few insects, flowers, a frog, and a lizard.

I have not seen a Meadowlark yet, but I will be on the lookout for one.
