In my other blog at I posted some pictures of the kids practicing repelling and ascending on the cliffs at Starved Rock Park in Illinois. They were practicing there in preparation for a trip into a cave in Indiana. This particular cave has a 140 foot drop and is totally dark except for the light from flashlights and headlamps.
