Toodles in Bulgaria

“In the picture of me, Vassil, sitting on the bench, you can see the statue of Petko Slaveikov and Pencho Slaveikov, father and son. Petko participated in translation of the first protestant Bible in 1871. This translation helped the establishment of grammar in the Bulgarian language. His son, Pencho, was member of a team revising the translation in more modern Bulgarian. The place is called Slaveikov square. It is in the center of Sofia. In the other photo you can see how happy we are with the books we wanted for so long. My brother Philip is also very happy behind the camera.”
