We have many animals at our house.

We have two parrots, Cashmire and Neffie; a milking cow named Annabelle; Toby the steer; three cats; three horses, Sunday, Piney, and Morgan; and four dogs.

I’m not much of an animal lover, but I don’t mind that we own so many as long as everyone follows the one — yes, I only have one — rule. That rule is: No dogs in the house!

Actually, we are at the end of an era with one of our animal categories. After 15 years of milking a cow and/or goat, we are moving on. Annabelle will be sold this weekend. There will be tears on the part of some; rejoicing on the part of others.
