Homeschooler Henry Hoffmann submitted an essay for the NRA’s annual nationwide essay contest, and out of 1200 entries, won! Quoting founding father Thomas Jefferson, Henry noted that: “[A]ll power is inherent in the people….[I]t is their right and duty to be at all times armed.” This was, in essence, his thesis for his essay which will be printed in an upcoming issue of the NRA’s Insight publication. Henry won a $1000 savings bond, which he is considering using to re-invest in the NRA by becoming a lifetime member. Clearly, Henry takes his second amendment rights seriously.
