I will always be grateful to The Hand That Rocks the Cradle for introducing us a long, long time ago to Penrod. Harold Ramorez has become a family icon and our children frequently refer to being shot in the abdomen. I can still hardly make it through those first chapters with my dignity intact. I buy copies of the three Penrod books whenever I see them so that when my older children steal my copies there are still a few left.
